1. Vehicle defects and vehicle manufacturer assistance
If the vehicle is not drivable, the specific assistance service of the car manufacturer must be contacted. In the event of a fault on a vehicle that is under warranty, only the car manufacturer's authorised service should be visited or contacted.

2. Accidents, damage and claims reporting
In addition to the insurance company, it is essential to report any defect, damage or insurance claim immediately to the lessor and to send photographs, the accident report and all details to fleet@avis.sk. In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, it is essential to notify the Lessor immediately, but above all the relevant insurance company in accordance with the applicable insurance policies on the rented vehicle.
- If you are not at fault for the accident, it is necessary to report the claim under the accident insurance policy, while the person at fault is obliged to report the claim under his/her compulsory insurance policy.
- If you are at fault for the accident it is necessary to report a claim on both insurances under your own responsibility.
- If the person at fault is unknown, it is necessary to report the claim under the accident insurance policy.
In cases a) and b) an accident report must be fully drawn up and mutually signed with the other party involved and must be attached to the insurance claim report.
An insurance claim can be reported in the following ways:

In the event that your vehicle is not drivable due to damage during an insured event, please contact AllianzAssistance exclusively.
Vehicle repairs can only be carried out at AVIS contracted service centres, which can be found in section 6 below.
In the event of damage to the windscreen, please follow the same procedure as in point 2.a). The contract repairer authorised to carry out windscreen repair or replacement is Hornet Autosklo.
3. Repair of damage before returning the vehicle
You must repair any damage caused to the vehicle during the rental period, i.e. before the vehicle is handed over to the Lessor.
Failure to do so will expose you to penalties under the Vehicle Rental Agreement or the Fee Schedule, which can be found here.
The vehicle must be handed over without any damages except for normal wear and tear of the vehicle as per the conditions on the acceptance report.
Any damage not subject to the acceptance rate as per the acceptance report will be charged to you based on the price list mentioned above.
4. Warranty service inspection of the vehicle
During the rental period, it is also your responsibility to attend the vehicle warranty service given by the vehicle manufacturer properly and on time.
In the event of failure to comply with this obligation, you will be liable to penalties in accordance with the vehicle rental agreement or the price list.
You may only have the compulsory vehicle service at the service centres chosen by the lessor. Therefore, if you need to have a service inspection, you must contact the AVIS Fleet Department at +421 902 933 887 or by e-mail at fleet@avis.sk to be directed to the correct service centre according to the model and make of the vehicle.
5. Vehicle switching
For tyre changing, if you have seasonal tyres on your vehicle, you will be notified by email, as will every lessee, with instructions on how to proceed with the vehicle changing.
The vehicle can be changed at the following garages:
- Bratislava, SPIRIT CAR s.r.o.
- Bratislava, PNEUSYSTEM
- Trenčín, PROFITYRES
- Banská Bystrica, STECH
In addition to the above-mentioned garages, the vehicle can also be changed in any of the garages in the PNEUSYSTEM network, however, this service is subject to a one-off fee of 45€ excluding VAT.
