The Renault Captur has grown by 11 cm between the generations and has sharpened its overall style immensely. It still belongs to the clan of urban crossovers, only it's considerably more powerful. The new Captur has developed the idea of its predecessor, adding a perfect athletic look and attacking with class-leading interior quality and other attributes. The Renault Captur is the best-selling small crossover in European territories, the era of the elevated car is booming and after a generational change, Renault's representative is better than ever.
Inside, there has been a noticeable increase in quality. At the center of the interior is a 9.3-inch portrait-oriented display. The display shows the Easy Link multimedia system and navigation. Like the smaller Clio, the Captur uses a digital instrument cluster that measures up to 10.2-inches. So the Renault Captur certainly doesn't disappoint once you open the doors and get in the car. On the contrary, it is a very pleasant surprise. The interior breathes the same atmosphere and colours as the exterior. It is seriously extremely high quality. It is dominated by soft surfaces and very pleasant materials, be it the dashboard or the front and rear door panels.
The separate climate panel with rotary controls and manual buttons is commendable. It looks excellent and gives a luxurious impression. The gear lever is nicely to hand on the raised platform, and you'll get to grips with the centre touchscreen controls very quickly too. The Easy Link infotainment has logically laid out menus. There are three tiles on the home page, and clicking them brings up individual submenus. Reactions to touches are quick enough, the graphics are nice and the display has a matt finish. Easy Link additionally supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Captur can be connected to the internet and get updates remotely. The boot offers a base volume of 536 litres when the rear row of seats is moved fully forward. When in the standard rear position, it offers 404 litres. Folding the rear seats down creates 1,275 litres for luggage. The trunk has a foldable shape, is practical and has also adopted a double floor. When in the top position, it forms a plane with the load lip, which continues when the rear seats are folded down.
