Electricity, gas, diesel or gasoline?

Why decide at the time of COVID - 19 and what will the market look like after a pandemic?

Are you considering buying, renting or operating a vehicle and do not know which vehicle drive to choose? We will advise you.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people opt for diesel engines in particular. The reason, in addition to lower consumption in the long run compared to petrol engines, is a significant drop in the price of oil and people refuel a few euros cheaper than before the outbreak of the pandemic. However, such a situation and the price of oil are not sustainable in the long run. It has rebounded from its bottom in mid-April and is slowly but surely recovering in value. After the end of the pandemic, oil will increase significantly in value and fuel prices will undoubtedly exceed their maximum again. In addition to the price of oil, which has a significant impact on the market, European countries will certainly use the pandemic to further tighten emission standards for entry into cities or countries, and the Brussels regulation will continue to be only tougher.

Fortunately, nowadays more and more people are looking at ecology and cleanliness on our planet. That is why hybrid and electric vehicles are starting to prosper in the automotive world as well. After all, electric vehicles are environmentally friendly. In addition, vehicles with minimal or even zero emissions bring less traffic to municipalities and cities. And last but not least, owning or renting a vehicle with a combined or purely electric drive brings an increasing number of benefits to people and companies. And thanks to the state support of electromobility, these attractions will definitely continue to increase in these attractions, why choose an electric car.

In the points below you can read the most important facts:
  • Subsidies for the purchase of new vehicles up to 35% of the purchase price of the vehicle
  • Reduction of the registration fee for vehicle registration by 50%
  • Accelerated depreciation of electric cars with a depreciation period of 2 years
  • Lower road taxes by up to 50%
  • Cheaper UGS for electric cars and hybrids
  • Green, exceptional license plate
  • Inputs to low emission zones
In addition to the above-mentioned benefits, a huge advantage and a rapidly advancing and decisive factor for the procurement of an electric vehicle is the expanding network of charging stations in Slovakia. A few decades ago, the fact that there were not enough charging stations in the area and that the electric cars did not provide too dazzling journeys to fully charge discouraged people from purchasing an electric car. However, car manufacturers are still advancing in electromobility and vehicles thus provide commutes in which one already feels comfortable. In addition, the state will provide subsidies to support the expansion of the charging station infrastructure. After all, every developer must also think about which places he will reserve for these owners or holders of vehicles during the reconstruction or construction of new buildings.

We at AVIS also think ecologically, which is why we recently added the first plug-in hybrid vehicle Volvo XC60 T8 eAWD to our AVIS MaxiRent range and, above all, the brand new electric vehicle Renault ZOE R135 ZE 52 kWh.

In addition, in cooperation with   www.zsedrive.sk   For each ordered vehicle, we will add a card for charging the vehicle in the entire network of charging stations, which already has a very decent representation in Slovakia J -   MAP.   So what do you say?
